Generic Surgical Sciences Examination Course
The Generic Surgical Sciences Examination (GSSE) is designed to ensure candidates meet a baseline standard of knowledge in the surgical sciences, including anatomy, pathology, and physiology – the key foundations of surgical training. To pass the GSSE, candidates must demonstrate this minimum standard in each discipline as well as a comprehensive understanding across all areas.
This Dunedin Postgraduate Course was created for junior doctors preparing for the GSSE. Our tutors provide focused information and demonstrations across the core topics in our three week course in Dunedin, then candidates can sit the three online practice exams from any location that suits them within the 10 day timeframe.
Our practice exams aim to replicate the exam as closely as possible, with explanations to aid recall and direct further study.
